The SIM-MAX AB3210 is a portable surface contamination monitoring device. This instrument uses a ZnS-coated plastic scintillator probe specifically designed to detect alpha and beta contamination on object surfaces or by wiping test samples. It can be used in radioactive workplaces or laboratories for surface contamination detection on workbenches, floors, walls, clothing, human skin, and other surfaces. The instrument can be used in a fixed or mobile location.
